A Numerical Investigation of Supercavitation Vehicle’s Hydrodynamic Noise

This paper presents the simulation results of acoustic field around an underwater supercavitation vehicle under various operating conditions and analyzes cavitation phenomenon hydrodynamic noise spectrum. Regarding ventilated phenomenon, shows that low speed can reduce threshold supercavitation, high background pressure enhance stability structure. As for noise, firstly, reveal when occurs, spectrum exhibits several characteristic peaks near 1 kHz between 3 10 kHz. The overall amplitude demonstrates a descending trend 40 Further, natural conditions, peak is detectable 80 influence on essentially achieved by altering scale flow: with growth bubble flow scale, first increases then decreases due to its own pulsation masking effect, while substantially reduces.
